Welcome to the first post of this blog! What I hope to do here is chronicle my journey as I work with thread. I’m a cross stitcher and learner sewer, all as a hobby.
I was lucky enough to get a new sewing machine for Christmas, a Brother F420 with quilting kit so I’m hoping to expand on my quilting skills and hope to start making some of my own clothes. I spend my TV time cross stitching so will have progress to show you on that too.
So to start you off this is what I’ve been working on over the weekend!
This is one of 30 I’ve completed so far, there is another 6 to go. This is North Star by Missouri Star Quilt Company. I think I might lay it out differently but we will see when they are all done. I love watching Jenny’s videos and I’ve learnt a lot from her so the site is worth a visit if you haven’t been there before.
For this afternoon, I’m heading back to my cross stitch, details of that next time may be.
